Beautiful historic hotel. Stayed here with my family to ski in Stratton. The room was perfect for our family of 4 and the bathroom was newly renovated. The breakfast buffet had several choices and the staff was very helpful and attentive. It is a nice choice especially since you get to help support local small businesses.

We got stuck in the snow with our 7mo on a drive up to Stowe. I called the Arlington and they gave us their last room on a moment’s notice. The staff were so kind and welcoming, asked us if we needed anything for our baby and made our room up right away. We hunkered down in the snowstorm and had a wonderful evening at the tavern with Dave the bartender and chatted some lovely other families. Breakfast in the morning was delicious before we continued our adventure up to Stowe. So glad we found the Arlington Inn!

I attended a wedding at the Inn. The hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, the inn itself was quite nice, the garden where the wedding was held was beautiful and both the indoor and outdoor spaces were nice enough to have most of the wedding pictures taken there.

My husband and I got married here in early September. It was the perfect place for a intimate, private ceremony. The garden was in full bloom and was a beautiful backdrop to our ceremony. The elopment package they offer was amazing, and included everything we needed. The suite we stayed in was lovely and the hospitality was unmatched! Cheryl is so kind and accommodating. The town makes you feel like you stepped back in time, but also had close proximity to a walmart and dollar store. 11/10 would recommend getting married here!

My girlfriend and I stayed here on Easter Sunday as a makeup of a Valentine Day weekend stay that was supposed to happen. Mother Nature had other plans and a nasty ice and snow storm forced us to postpone our visit. The management graciously allowed us to book a different night and we truly appreciated their hospitality and willingness to let us rebook. We stayed in Victorias Garden Retreat and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, fire place and comfortable bed. The main house is very cozy and inviting. The next morning we were greeted with a nourishing breakfast before another day of exploring Manchester and Arlington. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits and special overnight trips.

We had our wedding at the Arlington Inn, and it was truly the perfect experience. Cheryl, the innkeeper, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of and that we felt supported throughout the entire weekend. The inn itself is stunning — full of charm, history, and comfort — and it created such a beautiful backdrop for our celebration. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the food, the atmosphere, and the warm hospitality. Cheryl’s kindness, organization, and dedication made our day so special, and we’re beyond grateful to have celebrated our wedding here. Highly recommend the Arlington Inn to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind Vermont experience.

The Arlington Inn saved us! We were traveling home from a ski trip up north and our poorly-timed departure meant that snow forced us off the road. My partner was able to book the room via the website and even though it was after hours, Tabitha made sure we got our room promptly. We departed very early the next day so we didn't get to experience breakfast but the room and hospitality were top-notch. Not sure if we will find ourselves in the area again but wouldn't think twice about staying here.

We travel to VT's Manchester/Arlington/Bennington area at least a few times a year and this has been one of the nicer places we've stayed. My wife booked it, thinking she had gotten a room with a fireplace and Queen bed and Cheryl actually called to say she could upgrade us to a room with a King (Pamela's Suite), which we took. She unwittingly saved the weekend, since my wife had actually booked a room without a fireplace, but Pamela's suite had a nice gas-fired one. Thank you Cheryl! People complaining about the food probably had visited while the previous owners were there, as one of them was also the chef. We didn't partake of the breakfast (as we love "Up For Breakfast" in Manchester), but the room looked nice and it was probably an okay hotel-included option. The room itself was spacious, clean, had a comfy bed, and was quite charming. I wish we could have bought a piece of furniture out of our room. If I'm looking to complain about something, the shower pressure could have been better, but it was fine and there was plenty of hot water. Cheryl and the rest of the staff were bubbly, helpful, and a joy to talk to. It's apparently been up for sale for over a year now, and we hope the next owners appreciate the great staff and good bones of the place. Note that the Tavern is only open Fridays and Saturdays if you want to take advantage. Give the Arlington Inn a try!
